Collaboration Connection & Commitment in ACTION!

We are proud of the way our team comes together—not just in the clinic, but out in the community too. Our team, alongside some of our families and participants, joined forces for the MS Swimathon to raise much-needed funds for those living with multiple sclerosis in our community. This event wasn’t just about swimming laps; it was a day filled with energy, collaboration, and genuine commitment. Whether it was swimming, cheering from the sidelines, or flipping sausages on the BBQ, everyone contributed to the day.  The Highlights of the Day: One of our Allied Health Assistants went above and beyond, using creative and unconventional approaches to help a participant complete an incredible eight laps. Our team made a splash by winning the  Hour of Power prize, swimming the most laps of any team during one intense hour. Inflatable crocodiles may have been involved, but no one told us they weren’t allowed! And, in a show of true team spirit, our directors finished the day strong, swimming late into the evening to help secure the trophy for the 'most laps swum overall. The trophy now takes pride of place in our office, serving as a reminder of what’s possible when teamwork, fun, and a shared purpose come together.

We  recently stepped away from our usual tasks to participate in an art session hosted by a local NDIS provider. The activity wasn’t just about unwinding—it gave us a unique opportunity to learn more about one another, how we approach challenges, and how our individual styles contribute to the team. The task? To create turtles. Some of us followed the instructions closely, producing beautifully detailed and precise creations. Others took a more free-spirited approach, crafting eclectic, less conventional turtles that were equally unique and meaningful. This experience highlighted the diverse strengths and approaches within our team—those who value structure and precision, and those who thrive with flexibility and creativity. Bringing these insights back to the workplace helps us foster authentic working relationships, appreciating the different ways we each contribute to the bigger picture. Moments like this remind us that team building doesn’t have to be complicated. It can be as simple as sharing a creative experience, gaining fresh perspectives, and having a little fun together. Our colorful turtles now brighten our office, a subtle symbol of our individuality, collaboration, and the strength of our team.
